What do I do with my TDS form?

If tax was deducted at source (TDS) on your investments, you’ll receive a TDS certificate, and the same details will appear in your Form 26AS and Annual Information Statement (AIS) on the Income Tax Department’s e-filing portal.

You are responsible for reporting this income in your income tax return and claiming credit for the tax already deducted. Be sure to talk to your CA or a tax professional, or visit the Income Tax Department website (incometax.gov.in), to determine how to report it.
